I have met some wonderful people in Essaouira over the years, two of them being Paolo and Jeremy who have become great friends and close neighbours. They are inspirational in so many ways but most of their energy has been directed towards setting up a charity – Project 91. One of their aims is to help local young people become more employable by helping with schooling costs and through sponsored vocational training to enable them to support their families.

A wonderful initiative has been their 'Leave your wardrobe in Morocco' campaign which frees up more room in your returning suitcase for all that shopping! They sell all the donated clothes through their charity shop (believed to be the first in Morocco?) where amazing bargains can be found.

A percentage of all Saffran Maroc profits will go to this wonderful charity.
